Beyond Collagen Conscious Pumpkin Spice Smoothie Recipe

10/22/2021

Are you ready to pull on your favorite flannel and start consuming all things pumpkin spice? Then, it’s time to embrace the season, crunch through some leaves, wrap yourself up in a cozy blanket, and delight in this healthy and delicious taste treat.

Conscious Pumpkin Spice Smoothie Recipe

By the way, this pumpkin spice smoothie recipe calls for almond milk, but if you want to, you can substitute any milk for almond milk. Some people like to add a little yogurt for thickness and extra probiotics. If you’re going that route, you can also remove the almond butter, but keeping it in does add a nice flavor and smoothness.

Ingredients

1 scoop Beyond Collagen

1 banana

1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)

¼ cup pumpkin puree

1 tablespoon natural almond butter

1/3 teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon pumpkin spice

Pumpkin and banana smoothie made with Live Conscious Beyond Collagen

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth or desired texture. Adding more milk will thin your smoothie, while additional pumpkin puree will thicken it.

Extra tip: If you want to make a dynamic breakfast smoothie with a kick, we like sprinkling in a few coffee beans.

Benefits of Beyond Collagen

Why add Beyond Collagen to your pumpkin spice smoothie? We have decided to go beyond when it comes to getting your collagen fix. Beyond Collagen features a whopping five types of collagen protein. It’s supercharged with biotin and vitamin C and designed to give you more of what you need.

Let’s look at why loading up on these healthy ingredients is beneficial.

Collagen I

So there are five common types of collage, and all of them are contained in Beyond Collagen. It’s a complete package that includes a ton of benefits. Collagen I is a pretty common supplement; in fact, you’ll find that and Collagen III together quite often. They’re great varieties of collagen because they’re very beneficial for your hair, skin, nails, joints, and bone health.

Collagen I is the most common type in the human body, and it gives structure throughout. Adding collagen I to your skin helps keep it looking youthful, plump, and healthy. It’s a perfect foundation collagen.

Collagen II

If you’re interested in warding off the effects of aging and not just the visible ones, then collagen II is going to be something you want to incorporate into your daily health routine. Collagen II is found in the ribs, nose, larynx, and trachea, but more importantly, it’s also found in joint surfaces. It plays an important role in keeping your joints healthy and supple.

Collagen III

Also good for your skin and a great companion to Collagen I, Collagen III supports skin, ligaments, blood vessels, and joints. It gives your skin its elasticity and reduces the appearance of fine lines.

Collagen I can be found in both bovine and marine supplements, but Collagen III is only found in grass-fed bovine-sourced collagen.

Type III Collagen decreases in the skin as we age, which is why more signs of aging can be seen in the skin as we naturally lose this essential protein. Adding this can be a key component to holding onto a youthful skin appearance.

Collagen V

Collagen V is less readily found on the market, but that doesn’t mean it’s not important. It plays a role in the formation of interstitial fibers, which means it helps hold everything together. Where collagen is a key building block for many structures in the body, collagen V is needed to hold everything together. Collagen V is still hard at work in the body, forming cellular surfaces (like the skin and hair) and keeping them looking smooth and vibrant.

Collagen X

Collagen X is another connective protein; its primary benefits lie in the strengthening and shoring up of bone and cartilage. As people age, their bones begin the ossification process, and healing takes a lot longer. Therefore, collagen X can play an important role in bone and joint health.

Vitamin C

Adding vitamin C is one of the reasons Beyond Collagen is so popular and powerful. Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is a nutrient that your body needs to form healthy blood vessels, muscles, and cartilage, and it works hand-in-hand with collagen in the formation of strong bones. Vitamin C is also very well-known for its ability to support a healthy immune system.

Vitamin C is an antioxidant that fights off common oxidative stress. Adding antioxidants gives you an additional layer of protection against common concerns.

Biotin

Biotin is also known as vitamin H or part of the vitamin B complex vitamins that are turned into energy. B vitamins, in general, are very important for the skin, hair, eyes, liver, and nervous system, and they play a large role in all of those areas. Adding biotin can improve your overall energy levels, helping you look and feel healthier and younger while keeping you in tip-top condition.
